Living A Goods Life Out Loud

It was just over a month ago that I had the idea for Goods Giving Back. During that time, I have been excitedly developing the online marketplace, recruiting makers and nonprofits for my alpha site, and pulling together a business plan.

What I have not been doing is blogging regularly.

It’s not something that comes naturally to me, writing my personal thoughts and processes down and publishing them publicly. But I want Goods Giving Back to become the destination for charitable makers to be reimbursed for their cost of materials while also contributing to the organizations they love at the point of sale.

So, I am going to channel my friend Heather who tells us to “Live Your Love Out Loud” and live my “goods life” out loud with blog posts about the various steps and stages of this startup. Technology selection, business rationale, frustrations with code – you name it, I’m going to do my best to blog about it.

Consider yourself warned.

Hey thanks for the nod…I just taught an informal workshop to some friends about blogging and social media and branding…I think they should TOTALLY follow your adventures because you just did like three of the things I suggested today! Plus they are nice folks who like to give back.

You are a clever woman and I think this is an awesome endeavor….people today really want to do more than shop at Target, they want to make a DIFFERENCE.

As always, thank you for the wonderful support. This marketplace will enable people to make a difference in a variety of ways. I am excited to to watch it grow. Please do send friends my way! Might you consider selling some of your crafty goods? Or even an e-book if there is something you could pull together? Physical and digital products will be available in the marketplace.
